SUMMARY
This course provides a comprehensive overview of rent calculation processes for both Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and Public Housing (PH) programs. Over 1.5 days, participants will build a strong foundation in determining family income, applying allowances and deductions, and accurately calculating tenant rent and housing assistance payments.
Participants will complete an online exam following the course to demonstrate mastery of the material.

TRAINER
Briana Urquhart, Senior Associate – Quadel
Briana Urquhart is a skilled housing professional with over a decade of experience in housing administration, compliance, program management, and training. She has worked as a HUD Program Analyst where she played a key role in advancing affordable housing initiatives through comprehensive financial and programmatic oversight. She worked to ensure compliance and accountability across housing programs. In addition, she conducted in-depth assessments of leasing, financial, market, and operational data to measure the effectiveness and productivity of Public Housing Agencies (PHAs). Prior to her work with HUD, she supervised a medium sized HCV program. She understands how to work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to gather insights, address concerns, and support all housing program stakeholders, including residents, landlords and staff. Briana is dedicated to promoting housing stability and compliance across diverse communities.
